Antique c1900 hand embroidered whitework linen table runner featuring elaborate figural scenes of elegantly dressed men and women in 18th century style costume. Finely hand worked monochrome embroidery incorporates raised floral work, knotted details, drawn-thread openwork mesh panels, scrolling foliage and ornate floral borders. Finished with a beautifully embroidered scalloped edge. The two large pictorial medallions are exceptionally detailed, giving the piece a romantic Victorian/ Edwardian appearance.

Measuring 50\" x 20.75\". Very nice condition, no holes, a few small faint beige marks, shown in last pic. Appears never laundered.
