Up for sale is an authentic, original 1905 Vienna Art Plate distributed as a seasonal advertising premium by the historic menswear firm Strouse & Brothers of Baltimore, Maryland. Famous for their premier "High Art Clothing" line, this beautiful Art Nouveau piece was given as a "Compliments of the Season" holiday gift to favored retailers and clients.
Design Features
* Front: Features a gorgeous, vibrant Art Nouveau lithograph portrait of a classical woman in a coral-pink gown holding a large ceramic urn overflowing with pink blossoms. The deep maroon-brown border is beautifully adorned with stylized cream lilies and intricate gold filigree.
* Back: Fully stamped with the decorative blue scrollwork advertising text for Strouse & Brothers, along with the classic manufacturing design patent date: "PAT. FEB. 21ST 1905."

* Diameter: Measures approximately 10 1/8 inches.
Condition Description
This 120-year-old tin plate is in beautiful antique condition. The front lithograph graphic remains bright, crisp, and displays wonderfully with only minor, age-appropriate surface wear. The reverse side shows authentic, standard age-related surface oxidation and light rust spotting typical for tinware of this era, leaving the manufacturer's stamped text fully intact and perfectly legible.
