Authentic Antique 19th Century Venetian “Yellow Sun” or “Yellow Eye” Millefiori Glass Trade Beads – 27pc Collector Lot

Authentic 19th Century Venetian Millefiori glass trade bead lot consisting of 27 individual beads in the distinctive “Yellow Sun” or “Yellow Eye” pattern.

This group was found within a multicultural vintage estate bead lot, alongside a diverse assortment of vintage and antique beads from different cultural traditions and regions. The beads are being offered here as a single collector’s lot based on their individual characteristics and appearance.

These antique Venetian glass beads feature a vibrant yellow glass base with red, blue, and white murrine “eye” designs. Venetian-made glass trade beads such as these were produced for the African trade and circulated extensively in West Africa during the 19th century.

The beads display physical characteristics consistent with their age and history, including tiny pit marks, trapped air bubbles, and white ash-like glassmaking residue within some of the perforation holes. These details are of particular interest to collectors of antique glass and historic trade beads.
