This is a silver gelatin photograph that is unmounted and is 7¾ x 6 inches (200x150mm).
It shows a young woman in a floral dress standing next to a military vehicle, interacting with a British soldier. The soldier in the foreground wears a netted helmet and is writing on a piece of paper. Two other soldiers wearing berets sit atop the vehicle, which has the number '4598' painted on its side. In the background, civilians watch from the pavement outside brick buildings, and a flag hangs from an upper window.
The reverse has a pasted typed caption headed 'British Liberate Eindhoven.' It reads 'The people of Eindhoven gave the British troops a great welcome. Scenes as the troops and armour enter the liberated Dutch Town. Photograph shows - British troops signing autographs for girls in the town.'
