Wendell Endicott, notifying him of the death of Clarence\'s beloved wife, Jessie, earlier that evening.Mr. Barron wrote this just moments after Jessie passed away and he clearly struggled to find the right words. He then cabled the message to Wendell who was stationed in Europe during World War I. Written on the blank side of a Dow Jones news ticker sheet.
• TWO ORIGINAL TELEGRAMSOne telegram is dated Saturday, May 25, 1918 and the other is dated Monday, May 27, 1918.
