CUSTOM DESK TOP BOX: BURL MAHOGANY WOOD, 1960's Era, Vintage & Unusual, VGC For Sale

Vintage & still gorgeous after half a Century of constant use, this high quality Gentleman's Desk Top Mahogany Box was purchased at Estate back in the 1970's era, but was made earlier. Vintage when purchased, Condition is still vey good overall, with NO signs of use beyond the nicks & dings you'd expect from normal use over time. Interior of Burl Wood Box shows a few insignificant fills to low spots on sides, bottom, on hinges, and around Burl knob edges. Box features an old Mahogany Burl purposefully left in place within the design, and features a hand sanded surface with hand-rubbed oil finish as shown. Needs some TLC after years of being moved about on desk top (Yes, you get to oil & rub out the wood surfaces once again!)... but that's about it! Please review the photos carefully and you be the judge as to current condition for your intended purposes. This Custom Mahogany Burl Box has stood the test of time already, and certainly has lots more to go. One of the most unusual Wood Boxes we have ever found and purchased, and we have used it for trinkets, pocket change, and misc. items for decades already.
