This is a hand-thrown pitcher from Camark Pottery of Camden, Arkansas, finished in a deep black-to-bronze-green luster glaze. Camark built its early reputation on luster and iridescent glazes developed under art director John Lessell, and the organic, hand-pinched rim and spout on this piece are consistent with that early hand-worked production rather than the later mold-cast wares the company is more commonly known for.

The original Camark shape/finish paper label is present and legible on the base.
