Made of wood, identified on comparable examples as handmade mango wood, with a glossy enamel-style illustrated interior and warm brown exposed wood border. The underside is marked “Pecan Picking,” “The Clementine Hunter Collection,” “© Gitter Gallery LLC,” and “Made in India,” along with the reproduced Clementine Hunter monogram. A matching 15 × 10-inch example is documented with the same construction and design.
Clementine Hunter was a Louisiana self-taught folk artist whose paintings documented everyday life around Melrose Plantation, including cotton picking, pecan harvesting, weddings, baptisms, and other scenes. Gitter Gallery later licensed Hunter’s artwork for a collection of decorative and functional home pieces.
