Coldwater Michigan Arlington Hotel Antique Brass Baggage Tag 1905 Era
A very rare piece from a long gone hotel in Coldwater, Michigan located on the Northwest corner of the intersections of Chicago and Hanchett streets.
It has H.B. Hardenburg Co. N.Y. (Brooklynn) on it which probably indicates the distributor, not necessarily the maker. It also lists the proprietors as S.G. & E.F. Ray.
It is 3 and 1/4th inches tall, and 1 and 9/16th inches wide.
In 1917 the hotel was operated by the Grant Eaton & Company whichwas torn down in the 1970’s.
A nice addition for your Coldwater Michigan or small hotel collections.
The baggage tag has some wear from use that one would expect to see in a historic piece such as this. It has some tarnishing, bending, and scratches. The postcard has normal wear associated with old postcards. It might have creases, edge and corner wear, ink on the front from postal cancelations, writing, etc. Occasionally there will be small vertical lines, these are from the scanning process unless noted otherwise in the description.
