These items were collected by Lt . Godfrey who was a member of the 7 th. Calvary assigned to General George Armstrong Custer at the Little Bighorn on this fateful day. Lt. Godfrey was not with Custer but participated in the battle. Godfrey liked many soldiers collected both Indian and military artifacts from the battlefield.
