Pink and blue tulips scattered on white as if someone had shaken them out of an apron, the stems drawn in a quick yellow-green, one stray daisy hiding among them. Scalloped all the way around and bound in pink by hand.
The label says THE LINEN OF QUEENS, which was Porthault's American promise in an era when that was simply true: Jackie Kennedy, the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis and her whole set. Small enough to slip under a cocktail glass. Grand enough that you'd notice.
