HISTORY:Droopy (alsoknown as Motita in Spanish) is an animated character created by Tex Avery forthe Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer animation studio in 1943, with a personality oppositeto another famous MGM character, Screwy Squirrel. Originally known as HappyHound until 1949, this distressed Basset hound spoke in a monotone, andalthough he didn\'t look like it, he was cunning enough to defeat his enemies.
Probably his mostfamous short film is Northwest Hounded Police, where Droopy appears literallyeverywhere the villain tries to flee. Droopy was a versatile actor: he couldplay a policeman, a cowboy, an heir, among others.
What made thecharacter funniest was his incredible strength, due to his height andcharacter. Only when he was upset did he demonstrate this ability, almostalways accompanied by the phrase \"You know something? That makes meangry.\" After this he hit the villain and threw him on his head.
