This is a gorgeous antique sampler, showing many beautifully stitched needlework techniques.
It is made from pinkish red and off white cotton cloth and white & red thread. It is partly hand stitched, partly stitched with a sewing machine.
The sampler dates from circa 1900. It is probably French, Belgian or Dutch.
It measures approximately 15 1/4 x 15 1/4 inches or 38.5 x 38.5 cm.
The sampler is in good condition, considering its age. The cloth has a few small spots on it and is a bit discolored in some places.
