ABOUT THE CONCEPT
The U.S.S. Reliant NCC-1864 is the Miranda-class vessel famously commandeered by Khan Noonien Singh in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. Before the screen-used ship was finalized, alternate ideas were considered for the Reliant’s appearance. This Eaglemoss Bonus Edition recreates one of those early concept directions.
The concept version shares the compact, saucer-based foundation associated with the final Miranda-class design but features alternate structural and surface details. It offers collectors a “what might have been” version of one of the most recognizable Starfleet ships of the film era.
This detailed display model is an excellent addition to any Star Trek, Wrath of Khan, Miranda-class, Khan, production-art, concept-design, Eaglemoss, die-cast model, or science-fiction collection.
