Early-1920s-Pair Crockett Engraved Silver Overlaid \"Star and Moons\" Spurs-Rare For Sale

Original early Crockett, stamped on the inside of the heel bands, features sterling silver overlay of engraved star and moons shapes on the outside of the heel bands, and sterling silver overlay on the rowel shank, with engraved silver strap buttons. The leather straps were put on in the 60s and are in very good condition. These spurs belonged to my Uncle who used them during parades and other events, they are well worn on the inside of the heel opening and the hole for the rowel is widened from all of the \"jingle and jangle,\" which has a beautiful rich tone. They have been stored in a shed for the 25 years, so I gave them a light cleaning. I\'m sure someone else owned them before my uncle, he was born in 1926 and these are an early 1910s -1920s pair. These spurs are in excellent condition considering they are well over 100 years old. The moon closest to the rowel shank on the left spur has a piece missing from the tip of it. There is minor rust spots on both spurs. The strap button on the left spur has a ding on the top of it.
