Hand-built and dated 1992, this exceptionally whimsical piece features a highly stylized, abstract male and female caricature relaxing along the rim of a vibrant clawfoot bathtub.
True to Eilene Sky’s celebrated postmodern aesthetic, the sculpture juxtaposes elongated, minimalist human forms with playful, graphic details. The exterior of the vessel boasts a soft pastel pink glaze punctuated by confetti-style turquoise accents, supported by uniquely sculpted decorative feet. The interior opens up to a rich, brilliant turquoise basin. A beautifully draped black-and-white patterned textile ruffle cascades over the side, showcasing the incredible hand-formed mastery of the medium.

- This vintage piece is in excellent pre-owned condition with no major chips, cracks, structural damage, or repairs.
- Consistent with aged, high-gloss studio glazes, there is minor, light crazing present in a few localized spots (predominantly visible on the turquoise feet/rim). This naturally occurring network of fine lines is purely cosmetic, stable, and characteristic of authentic 1990s art pottery. There is also one very tiny nick on the underside that can be referenced in photos # 5. Please review the high-resolution photographs to inspect the glaze details closely.
