Description – The Ember 3 No. 98 / No. 99 side rabbet planesare a tribute to the classic turn of the century version with our own modernflare. Updates include a positive groove engagement depth adjuster forconsistent parallelism and one ounce of extra material for slightly more heft.All brass parts are machined from billets of stress relieved C46400 NavalBrass. The cryogenic treated A2 tool steel blades are hardened to 60-62 Rockwelland fully ground. The knobs are turned from planks of Cherry. This plane set isperfect for the widening and clean-up of dadoes, rabbets, tenons, and slidingdovetails up to a ½” deep.
