Own a beautiful piece of Vermont history with this Vintage 1941 Singer Electric Sewing Machine, solid cast iron, with pristine black lacquer finish with zero \"silvering\" (worn-off clear coat), gold decals 100% intact, and safe wiring.
The sewing machine is in working condition, with cover, buttonholer and other attachments (as shown in photos), as well as pristine manuals and housed on an immaculate, scratch-free vintage wooden base.
The machine was used at The William Doolin & Co. Store on Main Street in Saint Albans, Vermont. The store operated from 1904 and sold upscale fabrics, textiles and linens, as well as fine men and women\'s clothing. They employed local seamstresses and tailors on-site.
This sewing machine belonged to one of the seamstresses that Mrs. Doolin employed. Upon the seamstress\'s passing in 2010, this sewing machine was sold as part of her estate.
It has been lovingly cared for over the past 16 years but it is ready for a new home.
