D D Simmons & Bro circular. Scott 63 one cent stamp cover. Addressed to Mintonsville North Carolina. The circular has a printed date of November 28 1860. The postmark is either February of 20 something 1861 or 20 something December of 1860. The last letter looks closer to a “B” to me. Either way the circular was sent 3 to 5 months before North Carolina secession and at the time of South Carolina’s secession. D D Simmons and Bro were shipping agents dealing mostly in lumber. They were based out of Norfolk. Circular is about 8 by 10 inch. Stains, toning, wear and folds. The cover has stains, toning, wear and tears. Feel free to ask questions.
