Large vintage Federal Savings and Loan Insurance Corporation cast aluminum plaque from a bank or savings and loan building. With the legend \"Safety of Your Savings Insured Up To $100,000.\"

This sign was made sometime between 1980 and 1989, when FSLIC insurance was $100,000. After the FSLIC was abolished in 1989, banks and savings and loans switched to FDIC signage, and the insured amount went to $250,000.

Heavy aluminum building sign, 24 inches in diameter, 3/4 inches thick at the edge. With four threaded posts for mounting. Very good condition, no cracks or chips. Some discoloration with age and exposure to weather.
