Washington Glass Co. - circa 1890's.
Both pieces have bases made of mold blown Opalware glass - a squatty round shape with vertical ribs and little feet - surrounded with garlands of embossed flowers. They are hand painted with pastel flowers in shades of blue & purple on a creamy colored ground - light yellow around the top, blush around the bottom.
They are topped with matching silverplate mounts.
Marked: 'M.W' 2040 - inside the lid. Both glass pieces are marked on their bottoms with hand painted blue numbers 2040 / 208 - (pattern / decorator)
Measurements:
CREAM pitcher - 4.75" wide base, 6" span handle to spout, 3.5" high - will hold 8-10 ounces
SUGAR Bowl - 5" wide base, 4.5" wide top, 2.5" high to rim, 6" tall w/handle up, - will hold about 12 ounces.
Lid - 3.75" diameter, 1.25" high
