This is a Presentation edition fromWilliam H. Adams ,William H. Adams was a prominent figure in Pennsylvania Freemasonry, serving as the Right Worshipful Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. He held this influential administrative position from 1843 until 1866
The 1825 edition of the Ahiman Rezon was a significant revision of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania's constitutional book, adopted on April 18, 1825. It served as a guide to the history, principles, rules, and regulations of Masonry, incorporating substantial material from Anderson's Constitutions. It also defined "Ahiman Rezon" as "a prepared Brother" or "secrets of a prepared Brother
The 1825 edition contained a, "view of the history and polity of Free Masonry: together with the rules and regulations of the Grand Lodge, and of the Grand Holy Royal Arch Chapter of Pennsylvania".
Revision Context: This revision moved away from the earlier, more satirical, and "Ancient" focused editions written by Laurence Dermott (who coined the term), aligning more with the "Moderns" or revised standard constitutions after the 1813 union of the Grand Lodges in England.
