I meticulously handcraft these beautiful nest cones for Great Horned and Great Gray Owls in Delaware. Each nest cone is unique. They are approximately 28”x24”x18”.
The mount is constructed of pressure treated 2”x4” ‘s and coated stainless steel screws. The included hardware includes 2 coated lag screws with washers and L-bend screws.
These nest cones are made of galvanized hardware cloth, thick weed barrier, 19 ga wire, branches and vines.
Great Horned Owls nest all across America and Canada in live trees and cacti. Did you know these owls do not build their own nests? Instead they nest on cliffs, in caves, steal nests from squirrels, hawks and others, but they also readily nest in artificial nest cones like this. The included photos with owls are from some customers sharing their successes from across the country!
This nest cone and mount will need to be mounted on the trunk of a live tree. This allows for easy mounting.
