This classic combination specimen features translucent olive-green peridot (forsterite) intergrown with lustrous, sharply formed metallic-grey to black octahedral magnetite crystals. The peridot displays glassy vitreous luster across its faces, contrasting sharply against the geometric isometric faces of the embedded magnetite. Mined from the high-altitude alpine deposits of Sapat Gali, this compact piece offers excellent color contrast and crisp crystal morphology.
