Original 1950s Hagen-Renaker Goofy miniature from the early licensed Disney production period in Monrovia, California.
This is authentic mid-century California studio ceramic, not a later reproduction. The elongated proportions, expressive face, and glossy hand-applied glaze are hallmarks of early Hagen-Renaker Disney output.
Goofy is one of the more delicate early Disney models. The tall hat, extended snout, thin wrists, and narrow ankles make surviving examples especially vulnerable to chips and restoration. Most 1950s Goofy figures show hat edge wear, nose chips, or repairs at the feet. Intact examples are increasingly difficult to source.
This example presents beautifully. Strong, even gloss. Hat intact. Snout and nose appear clean. Hands and shoes intact. No visible repairs observed. The sculpt retains its sharp, animated character detail.
