Hanna-Barbera was founded in 1957 by Tom and Jerry creators and former Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer animation director Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera and stayed active until 2001. Hanna and Barbera dominated television with a wide variety of animated series, including The Huckleberry Hound Show, The Flintstones, The Yogi Bear Show, The Jetsons, Wacky Racers, Scooby Doo, Where Are You! and The Smurfs. Winner of 8 Emmy Awards and star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, their studio was a prominent presence in American television animation for five decades.
