Handmade Harry L. Morris stag hunter. About 9\" overall, 4-1/2\" blade, brass guard, red / black spacer stack, stag handle. Ricasso signed H.L. Morris, dated 2005, serial #276.
Includes the maker’s brown leather sheath with brass snaps and white stitching. This earlier sheath is not address-stamped on the back — later Morris sheaths carried the Farmington street stamp. No box.
Looks unused. Storage is what you are buying around: verdigris on the brass ate into the polish, and the blade has a few small spots. Not a factory knife and not a well-known Guild name.

Condition Notes
Does not look carried or sharpened. Stag is sound. Brass guard has the green storage film (verdigris) that common on unused brass — it has dulled and etched the polish in patches. Blade has small storage spots, nothing that reads as field use. Sheath stitch and snaps are intact; leather is plain on the back. Judge from the photos. Sold as a dated 2005 Morris hunter with storage issues, not a mint display piece.
Maker
Harry L. Morris built hunters out of Farmington, Missouri. He signed and serial-numbered the ricasso and made his own leather. Later knives often left with a stamped sheath reading his Forster Street address and old 314 number. This 2005 example is the same hand — earlier sheath, no back stamp.
He was a local custom maker, not a Knifemakers’ Guild or Blade-show name. What you are buying is the signed 2005 kit: knife, his sheath, and #276 on the blade. Not an unmarked shop hunter.
