This soothing island oil painting by Yancey depicts a serene and picturesque island setting with palm trees, colorful island flora, with birds soaring over white capped ocean waves with an island mountain in the distance. This painting is somewhat rare since Yancey's works were mostly of mountains or outdoor country themes. The colors and texture are vivid and beautiful.
