This is a rare, original color photo showing the **early construction phase of the Sears Tower** (now Willis Tower) in **Chicago**, taken circa **1971**. You can clearly see the foundational work underway and a visible **“US TIRES” rooftop sign**, which stood behind the job site and helps identify the location as **South Wacker Drive**, where the Sears Tower was constructed.
The photo is beautifully **professionally matted and framed** in a sleek **silver metal frame**, ready to hang.
* **Photo area** (inside mat): approx. **13.5" x 9.5"**
* **Frame dimensions**: approx. **19.75" x 15.75"**
* Framing includes a **light cream mat board** and **protective glass front**
* Glass has a **1" hairline crack** in the upper right corner — not very noticeable and doesn’t detract from display value.
This is a fantastic piece of **Chicago history**, perfect for collectors of architectural photography, Chicago memorabilia, or mid-century industrial history. Would look great in an office, den, or modern loft space.
