Huge 16.5\", 53.2 Pound Purple Amethyst Quartz with Calcite Plate - Rio Grande do Sul, BrazilDescriptionThe piece measures 16.5 inches across, 15.00 inches up and down, and is 7.25 inches thick and weighs 53.2 pounds.Large decorator-sized amethyst & calcite plate from southern Brazil!  Measuring just over 16 inches across and 15 inches up and down, with a weight of just over 50 pounds, this is a nice large piece from the amethyst mines in southern Brazil.  The calcites are up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length and are clustered at one end of the piece.  There are some contacts to some of these crystals, especially those near the edge.  Some minor typical contacting to a few amethyst crystals along the edge of the piece as well which is to be expected.  The piece will need some assistance to display optimally, but a couple different display options are available depending on how you want the calcite to present itself.
