This is an exceptional piece of Mid-Century Modern California design by the highly celebrated San Francisco artist, author, and cultural ambassador Jade Snow Wong (1922–2006). This flared copper enamel bowl features a stunning, masterfully executed glaze shifting in a subtle ombre effect from a vibrant turquoise blue to a deep dark blue, heavily speckled throughout with a delicate Frosted-style texturing. The interior showcases a dark, stylized abstract branch accent radiating from the upper rim.
The underside reveals the exposed spun copper base, fully hand-etched with the artist's signature: "Jade Snow Wong - San Francisco". It also features a beautifully preserved, personal historical inscription dating to 1970.
