Japanese Samurai Boy Doll Gogatsu Ningyo (May Doll) “First Battle” In Glass Case For Sale

Beautiful doll in great pre owned condition. Clean, no visible flaws, in his glass case. These gogatsu dolls are traditionally displayed in the month of May in any home with children to celebrate Children’s day in Japan. In a home with boys, the Samurai warrior boy is displayed to celebrate strength, courage and vitality. This doll is holding a katana, wearing a traditional kimono and standing on a wooden base. The small wooden plaque says “Hatsujin” which translates to “Soldier’s First Battle.” The case is made of acrylic, wood and glass.
