Joe Becker was a well-known self-taught master carver from the Musqueam Reserve in Vancouver, BC. His works are sought after by collectors of Northwest Coast Indigenous art. He was eventually Chief Jo Becker at the end of his life. Pieces with strong historical or ceremonial provenance like this one are especially rare and desirable. Condition: Very good overall with no signs of age.
