Rare and unique photo of a gruesome incident involving M&I (Minnesota and International Railroad) and a lumberjack.
The postcard does have a clipped corner and overall surface wear but the image is quite clear. There is a glossy finish on the photo.
Timeframe estimate is 1900-1915.
I could not find a headline about this exact accident. The back of the card says this is an original photo and may be the only documentation left of this particular accident.
Looks like M&I was part of Northern Pacific Railway.
That is the extent of what I know about this image. It is the most unique postcard I have come across out of 10's of thousands from this collection.
