***Listing does not include the helmet itself, pictured for awareness of the type of helmet these belong to***
Clearing out some of my spare parts items that are gathering dust, I’ve had this officer’s cord since about 2013, as I was really into collecting all the pieces I could find associated with the Indian Wars and different makers.
The cords are made of beautifully purl gold bullion and are in excellent condition. Cannot specify a maker based off the other helmet cords or references, but based on questions received, am clarifying that these are not Henry V Allien as the paddles are not large enough. Looks very similar to the first helmet in page 97 in Chappell’s Brass Spikes and Horsetail Plumes, and picture is included for reference.
Ultimately, a beautiful piece often needed to finish a helmet for most of them that are missing these cords.
Looking for something else? Let me know as I have a lot of pieces in storage.
