100% original World War I United States Army Enlisted Personnel Overseas Cap (Garrison Cap).
Original cloth contractor tag stitched into the inner band shows Greenwald Bros., Inc.
Heavy, standard-issue Olive Drab (OD) wool serge/melton with a khaki cotton twill sweatband.
Enlisted variant (characterized by the correct lack of colored piping/trim along the side curtains).
Condition:The cap is in excellent, structurally sound vintage condition for being over 100 years old. The wool retains a strong, deep olive color with fantastic period texture. The interior contractor tag remains securely stitched and easy to read.
