Vintage ceramic wall plaque by Marianne Starck for Michael Andersen & Søn of Bornholm, Denmark. The relief design depicts three stylized birds among tree branches and leaves, finished in earthy brown with vivid blue and green glazed accents. A distinctive example of Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern art pottery. The reverse bears the Michael Andersen pottery mark and the artist's “MS” monogram.
Very good vintage condition overall. There is a small chip on the reverse and a firing/manufacturing crack that has been present since production. Neither significantly affects the appearance when viewed from the front. There are also very minor surface marks consistent with age. Please refer to the photos for details.
