This is a Mid-19th Century, US Navy, Stag Handle Folding Knife, by Alfred Field & Co. NY. Knife is SOLID as a Rock! NO wiggle in the Blade. Spring is still SOLID! Blade may have been re-tipped, I am not sure of the Original Length. My research does tell me, this Knife was made between 1830, and 1865.
