Offered here is a hand-selected group of five natural stones collected in the Missouri Ozarks. These pieces show a wide variety of colors, textures, brecciation, veining, cavities and silicified material that may be of interest to rock collectors, lapidary hobbyists, tumblers, cabbers and anyone who enjoys unusual American rough.
The lot includes tan, cream, pink, reddish, brown and dark gray material, with several pieces showing contrasting veins or brecciated patterns. Some areas appear chalcedony-rich and/or quartz-bearing. One piece is particularly porous and vuggy, while others are dense and appear suitable for exploratory cutting or polishing.
These stones are being sold exactly as collected and pictured. They have not been cut, polished or treated.
Likely material includes varieties of Missouri chert, jasper/chert, chalcedony-bearing chert and silicified host rock. Exact mineral classification is not guaranteed.
