NCO Shoulder Belt for m-1840 sword, sometimes referred to as a Baldric
Made by Stewart Historic Saddlery of Ash Fork, AZ. out of Hermon Oak leather. Completely hand sewn with linen thread 8 stitches per inch. Please note peculiar special stitching pattern on back of hanger same as seen on originals. Civil War period "CROSSMAN" maker stamp on back of the hanger. My maker stamp is placed on the inside of the hanger, out of plan view. Iron dyed, oiled and soaped ready to use. Specifications taken from 1862 Ordnance Manual.Last photos are of original NCO Shoulder Belts for comparison.
