WORKING DESCRIPTION:This game is working 100% and is in excellent physical condition. The CRT monitor has an nice, bright, sharp and colorful picture. It is a newer replacement monitor from Happ - I think it\'s a Makvision and it has a nice remote board that adjusts everything. The game has new bulb lighting the marquee. The coin door has new bulbs lighting the coin slots, 2 working quarter mechs, and an original coin box. The joystick and buttons are also new, so the controls work perfectly and feel great.
In fact, I know this game is working perfectly and should be very reliable because I have had it in my own public arcade, called Arcadia: America\'s Playable Arcade Museum for the last several years. It has not had a single problem since I put it in, and it has earned very well. I did just replace all of the controls just because it had gotten a lot of play and I wanted it to have new controls for selling.
By the way, the only reason I removed it from the arcade and decided to sell it is because I just restored a Street Fighter Anniversary Edition arcade game, which has this game on it. The anniversary edition is a rare ultracade model that had 8 different SF titles in one cabinet. I normally abhor \"multigames\" and keep them out of my arcades, but this one is a fully licensed anthology type game cabinet so I thought it was authentic enough to be legit in my arcade. And I just didn\'t need another SF2CE for any other spaces. So I decided to offer it up for you! It\'s a rare thing for me to let go of one of my personal arcade collection.
I don\'t think I need to tell you how good a game Street Fighter II Champion Edition is. It is probably the pinacle or best of all the Street Fighter titles. And some would say it is the best of all the fighting genre. It certainly is the game that brought in the whole genre of fighting games, by being such a success. Every company had to design and release at least one fighting game after the success of this game.
Here is a video I took of this and RATINGS for THIS SPECIFIC MACHINE:This game is in very good condition. First of all, this is an original, dedicated Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition. Many (most) were sold as kits, and I mean a LOT of kits were sold. I\'ve seen almost every type of cabinet ever made converted to Street Fighter 2 due to the success of this game. But this one is a factory dedicated Capcom Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition. These are one of the few games that you still find as what they were originally - because they earned so well and had such long legs that some survived without ever being converted to something else.
The cabinet has red vinyl sides that are still in pretty good shape. There is side art on one side, but you can get the original SF2 CE sideart stickers really cheap on , so no big deal getting new sideart for this. The cabinet is nice and solid without any noticeable water damage. There is one corner, the back left bottom corner, that is busted out a little. Not real bad, and not real noticeable, especially if you have this in a row of games in which case it\'s not noticeable at all. Otherwise, the cabinet is without major flaws.The control panel is in ok condition, and still has the original artwork intact and in decent shape. The top inch or so of the CP art has come off and the panel is just painted black there. The coin door is excellent and has working coin mechs.
The paper monitor bezel is original and in excellent condition with all of the characters and instructions intact. The glass monitor bezel is original and in perfect condition. I believe it has a very slight tinting to it.
