Vintage Naturecraft Ltd. “Little Scamp” Ref. No. 857 hand-painted figurine, made in England.

This wonderfully expressive character sculpture depicts a formally dressed gentleman standing beside a mischievous young boy partially concealed behind a draped table or stand. The scene is full of the exaggerated facial expressions and storytelling detail associated with Naturecraft\'s humorous character figurines.

Based on closely numbered Naturecraft pieces from the same period—including Ref. No. 858 and Ref. No. 861, which are associated with 1976—this example is believed to date from approximately the mid-1970s / circa 1976. Exact production year is not marked on this piece.

Measures approximately 9 inches high.

Overall condition is excellent for its age, with only a few very small chips/nicks and minor display or storage wear. No major cracks, breaks, or repairs were noted.

The figurine has been lightly cleaned and dusted but not aggressively scrubbed or restored. Vintage painted sculptures of this type can retain minor dust or residue within deeply textured areas.
