This is a New in Box CRKT M16-01T by Kit Carson. CNC titanium open frame, AUS-8 plain spear point, liner lock with AutoLAWKS, Carson flipper and dual thumb studs. Box marked M16-01T TITANIUM. Knife, factory bag, and papers included. Opened only for these photos.

This is the discontinued titanium M16 — not the current Zytel / Grivory M16-01Z or 01KZ that sell in the $30s.

Condition Notes

Unused and new in the original box with bag and papers. Factory edge. The blade markings are weak — CARSON/DESIGN M16-01T and the CRKT logo are shallow and hard to read in some light. That is how this example left the factory, not wear from use. Zoom the stamp photos before you buy. Box has normal shelf wear.

Kit Carson of Vine Grove, Kentucky built custom M16s with drilled titanium frames, a flipper that also acts as a blade guard, and dual studs. CRKT put that design into production. Most of the M16s people know now are the cheap Zytel and Grivory versions — current small ones run about $35 and use 8Cr-class steel.

The T models were different. CRKT CNC-machined the frame from 6AL4V titanium, used AUS-8, and kept the open Carson chassis at 2.4 oz. Carson himself said the production titaniums were close to his customs. M16-01T is the small spear-point in that line: 3.125" blade, 4" closed. It is discontinued. You cannot order this frame from CRKT today.

That is the price difference: boxed unused titanium Carson vs a current plastic M16. This is not an automatic. Liner lock plus AutoLAWKS.

The only issue we call out is the light factory stamping on the blade.
