In used condition with areas of tarnish to the steel cover and wear to the back cover with much rubbing and the first few pages of the bible are missing. Some staining to the back pages of the book. Bibles of this type were sent by loved ones to American GI's during WWII with the idea that they would be carried in the chest pocket over the heart and that the steel cover may stop or deflect a bullet in combat.
