A remarkable unused vintage Royal Galaxie Ultra Slim Piezo Electronic Gas Lighter, preserved in its original presentation case with original instruction booklet and packaging insert.
This is not simply a loose vintage lighter that has spent decades in a drawer.
This example was never used and remains in outstanding mint condition. It has been tested and is GUARANTEED WORKING.
The combination of condition, original packaging, paperwork and working status makes this an especially attractive example for the serious vintage lighter collector.
THE LIGHTER
The Royal Galaxie has a wonderfully sleek, minimalist design with a very thin rectangular body and brushed silver-tone finish.
The front carries the distinctive vintage “NOW” red-and-white emblem, giving the lighter a great period advertising/promotional appearance.
The bottom is marked:
Royal
GALAXIE
JAPAN
This is the Ultra Slim Piezo Electronic Gas Lighter, using piezoelectric ignition rather than a traditional flint-wheel arrangement.
The original literature identifies it as:
“Royal Galaxie Ultra Slim Piezo Electronic Gas Lighter”
and the instruction booklet is marked:
“GALAXIE Ultra Slim Piezo Electronic Gas Lighter Instruction Book – Printed in Japan.”
NEVER USED — MINT CONDITION
This is the feature that separates this example from the majority of surviving vintage lighters.
The lighter has never been used.
It has been exceptionally well preserved and remains in mint collectible condition with its original presentation materials.

The case measures approximately 5 inches long, based on the ruler shown in the photographs.
