Original Maxfield Parrish Initialed Letter Maria Niccoli Hannes Bok \"Muse\" 1946 For Sale

Ria Niccoli was an author primarily but also an artist. And she and her sister were Hannes Bok\'s muses and responsible for inspiring hundreds of fantastic cover and interior illustrations, which involved beautiful young maidens as his work appeared in various science fiction and fantasy magazines of the 40s and 50s. Bok was in love with both sisters, but led a troubled existence that eventually led to his death by heart failure following an extended period of starvation. I\'m in the midst of compiling a book with the correspondence and illustrations that Bok gave Maria during the course of their correspondence and collaborations and among those works are several letters from Maxfield Parish, who she also corresponded with and and assisted with minor location and placement of various artworks of his within the New York City art environment.

This letter has never been seen publicly, and the ownership and full provenance will be provided to the purchaser. It\'s one sheet of paper double-sided typing. I\'ve photographed the front, but only the initials on the back, so that the new owner will have the privilege of getting to read. The additional correspondence on their own.

This will also be featured in the Bok \"Muse\" book that I\'m working on, but I have a great deal of additional research before it goes to print.
