Ad for Pabst Extract, the patent tonic produced by the Pabst Brewing Company of Milwaukee as a \"health\" product marketed separately from their beer. The ad promotes their 1904 calendar, \"Babies of Every Land and Clime,\" illustrated by Maud Humphrey — the mother of Humphrey Bogart and one of the most sought-after American illustrators of the Gilded Age, famous for her idealized children in national magazine and advertising campaigns. The calendar featured 12 babies of different nationalities across 18 printings on a 10x30 inch art panel. Approximately 6 x 8.5 inches. Harper\'s Magazine header visible at top.
