Impressive pair of large Chinese porcelain court figure statues, richly decorated in vibrant polychrome colors with traditional robes, dragon medallions, elaborate headwear and dimensional applied details.One figure wears a striking yellow robe with a blue dragon medallion and holds a green ceremonial object. The companion wears a deep red robe with a green dragon medallion and carries a dimensional pink floral/fruit motif. Both are embellished with applied black bead-style necklaces and colorful geometric and foliate borders.The porcelain displays an extensive crackle-glaze finish, giving the surfaces wonderful texture and visual depth. The figures are marked “MADE IN CHINA” on their undersides.Their substantial scale and strong color make them excellent statement pieces for a Chinoiserie, Asian-inspired, traditional, Grandmillennial or eclectic interior.
