Pair of 8.5\", British / colonial, brass, push up candlesticks.
From my personal collection, these candlesticks were part of a display in our home, which is a 250year old SC farmhouse. To be nearly 200 years old, I personally think they are in exceptionally good condition. As this brass is a bit softer than modern brass, there are nicks and wear, with some bends, as you would expect.
They have a wonderful patina that only comes with age. They almost resemble bronze, more than brass. Avid collectors can see the difference in antique brass, versus 20th and 21st century brass - especially cheap brass. Each candlestick has the original push up pin. I have not pushed them up, nor would I really recommend that.
