The \"LYF\" code is a contractor mark identifying the F.H. Lloyd & Co. Ltd. of James Bridge Steel Works in Wednesbury, UK. During World War II, this company was one of several subcontractors that produced bolt bodies for the Royal Ordnance Factories (ROF) to meet the high demand for Lee-Enfield rifles.
It is likely this bolt was restamped at the Pakistan Ordnance Factory for issued and manufactured rifles.
